Trust policy
Editorial independence is a system—not a slogan.
These rules govern every public verdict, commercial link and material update.
01 · Independence
Payment cannot buy a better verdict.
Before Choose does not accept payment in exchange for favorable ratings, hidden placement, or removal of substantiated drawbacks. Commercial opportunity may help prioritize a topic, but it cannot serve as factual evidence or determine the conclusion.
02 · Evidence
Claims need a traceable basis.
Material factual claims must come from retained official sources, policy pages, regulatory materials or other approved evidence. Reviews state when sources were checked and distinguish source-based research from hands-on testing.
03 · Commercial disclosure
Some links may earn us a commission.
If a reader voluntarily follows a clearly marked affiliate link and later buys, Before Choose may receive a commission. That relationship does not change the price shown by the merchant, and it does not affect our verdict, score, cons or source selection.
Affiliate disclosures appear near commercial links as well as on this page. We do not use fake scarcity, hidden redirects, disguised buttons or automatic merchant forwarding.
04 · Updates and corrections
Material changes leave a record.
When facts, policies or evidence change, an approved revision replaces the public version. Where available, the page displays its last-checked date and change history.
